About this piece
Swivel Chair by Le Corbusier
Urban Architecture Masterworks Collection
Designed in 1927 by Le Corbusier with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the swivel armchair was made for working at a desk: a round leather seat that turns on a chrome tubular steel base, held by a curved backrest that wraps round to form the arms. Compact, mechanical and comfortable, it was part of the furniture the three showed together in Paris in 1929.Made to order in the Urban Architecture Masterworks Collection. Leather upholstery, chrome-plated tubular steel. Its matching footstool is available separately.
